Furniture restorers, to revive and clean your furniture
Furniture restorers or revivers are well known in the antique and restoration trade. Furniture restorer will:
- Revitalise tired dry furniture ready for restoration and a new finish.
- Clean up dirty furniture for waxing.
Full strength is suitable for getting tired old shellac or lacquer off wood to be made ready for stain and refinishing.
The mild product is suitable for cleaning up dirty furniture, especially mahogany if you just want to clean up and re-wax.
Keep agitated while using, as the product tends to separate. Clean furniture by rubbing well with 0000 fine steel wool and restorer, and then wipe off with a clean rag. This product will produce professional results. It is advisable to test in a small area first to see what effect you will get.
After cleaning, normal refinishing can be undertaken or it can be oiled, polished or rewaxed, depending on what finish you require.
Aok Oak Stains
Old English Dark Oak Stain- Traditional Medium Oak Stain
This oil based oak stain gives an excellent result and is very easy to apply.
Brush or wipe on with a rag.
Leave to dry overnight and finish with Shellac, Lacquer or varnish.
Furniture Oil
A blended Furniture Oil that comes in light or dark for a natural finish.
The furniture oil is easy to apply onto prepared wood. Just rub well into the wood with a rag.
Leave overnight to dry, re-coat if required. A wax seal will add a protective coat, giving your furniture added lustre and shine.
Waxes
Fiddes Furniture Wax – quality imported wax as used by furniture restorers and antique dealers.
This furniture wax provides an excellent lasting finish. Just apply with a rag and buff off with a clean duster cloth, cheese cloth or similar.
Natural Bees Wax Polish – This is our own blend of Bees Wax and vegetable oil.
This natural bees wax polish is suitable for wood finished or natural, terracotta, leather and all wooden furniture.
Rub on with a rag and buff off, a very easy to use product!
